Come work on the spectacular Otago Peninsula at the home of the world’s only mainland breeding colony of Royal Albatross in the ‘Wildlife capital of New Zealand’. You’ll be working as part of the Otago Peninsula Trust team who’ve managed the centre since 1972 – we’ve been preserving and enhancing the peninsula for nearly 50 years.

Have you got a P Licence? Know lots about Otago Peninsula and our wonderful wildlife? Love meeting and hosting visitors. We need great driver hosts to lead our guests on fantastic peninsula adventures to Royal Albatross and Blue Penguins.

Seasonal Employment – Visitor Host (Applications Close 15th October 2018)

Would you like to be part of the Royal Albatross Centre team this summer?! We need you! Operated by New Zealand’s first private charitable conservation not for profit trust, the Royal Albatross Centre is an iconic wildlife tourism operation and a haven for seabird enthusiasts!

We are looking for energetic new Visitor Host/Guiding staff for the 18/19 summer season. Can you see yourself being part of the Royal Albatross Centre team? You will be creating amazing memories for our visitors and developing your skills in public speaking, NZ wildlife knowledge and customer service along the way. If this sounds like you keep reading…

On the job training is provided however customer service experience and an interest in NZ wildlife and seabirds are big advantages. The Visitor Host role involves a variety of jobs including guiding (blue penguins, albatross & history tours), reception, retail, education and café (front of house). As the Royal Albatross Centre is open seven days a week, applicants must be available for weekend and public holiday work.

What we need is staff who:
• Are bubbly people that thrive on customer satisfaction
• Have a full driver’s license (with your own reliable form of transport)
• Play nicely in a team environment
• Are legally entitled to work in New Zealand
• Know that above all else attitude is everything, bring a great one and you’ll look forward to an exciting summer with the Royal Albatross Centre

Seasonal Employment – Cafe Barista/Front of House (Applications Close 15th October 2018)

Operated by New Zealand’s first private charitable conservation not for profit trust, the Royal Albatross Centre is an iconic wildlife tourism operation and a haven for seabird enthusiasts – our ‘Hungry Birdwatchers’ meal is very popular!

We are looking for experienced café staff with great customer service and barista skills for the 18/19 summer season.

On the job training is provided however customer service experience and barista skills are strongly preferred. This role involves taking visitors orders, communicating well with the rest of the team, preparing cabinet food and barista work. As the Royal Albatross Centre is open seven days a week, applicants must be available for weekend and public holiday work.

• Have a full driver’s license (with your own reliable form of transport)
