Farewell to a firm friend

Jane Higham

Our team at Otago Peninsula Trust was shocked and saddened by the loss of one of our special friends in December.

Jane Higham was a staunch supporter of the Trust’s work over many years, beginning on the Trust board in the 1970s when much hard work was done by the team on the Glenfalloch and albatross colony projects. Jane was especially supportive of the Potters Cottage and the work created by local artists.

After living in Auckland for 19 years Jane returned to Dunedin and became involved with the Trust and Trust events again. Jane loved Glenfalloch Garden and was one of the first “Friends of Glenfalloch Garden” who helped look after the garden. She also helped at events including the Glenfalloch Night Garden where she roped in her grand-daughter and friend as stilt-walkers.
