Preparing for your experience

When you sign up, we will give the zoom code, then just click on the link at the right time and join in on the tour. You’ll be able to ask questions as the guide walks around.  So make sure you have a good and stable internet connection.

The Northern Royal Albatross lifecycle is a 12 month cycle, from breeding birds beginning to return late September – early November, eggs laid during November, nesting/ incubation from November – February, chicks beginning to hatch January – February and then guard stage until March.

Chicks will then be left on their own while its parents forage for food to bring back from March – September. Chicks will depart September for their big journey around the southern hemisphere for 5years.
