Wild Dunedin special for April!

Wild Dunedin Festival of Nature special – APRIL ONLY

An express version of our albatross tour; quick introduction by guide, short walk up the hill, and 15 minutes of viewing time to see a few nesting albatross chicks from the glassed observatory.

Learn about their breeding cycle, discover how large chicks grow in only a few months, and hear about conservation efforts in the area to protect the colony. Limited spaces available on each tour.

The albatross chicks hatch in late January each season, so in April they are about 3 months old and quite large! Parents are foraging at sea full time and bring food to chicks once every 1-3 days at any time – more likely when it’s windy!
