Our Primary School education programmes cover a range of topics, all of which are central to us at Taiaroa Head/Pukekura, including; Plastic Pollution, Nature of Science, Identity and Heritage, Birds, Maori History, Conservation and Science.

Primary School Education Programmes
|Discover Kororā, the Little Blue Penguin, the world’s smallest penguin, in their natural habitat at Pukekura.
Topic: Nature of Science
Time: 2 hours
Age Focus: Years 4-8 (may be adapted for secondary)
Curriculum Area: Nature of Science (Levels 2-4, Investigating in Science, Participating and Contributing), Science (Level 2-4, Living World), Social Sciences (Level 3).
Cost: $4/person (Education Programme only) $9/Person (Programme + Penguin Tour)
